Before you contact us about booking your family photography session, you should consider a few things.

Firstly, do you like what we do? Our family portrait sessions are all done in a studio environment.

Do our images make you glow inside? Especially when you imagine seeing yourself and your family in them?

Have we given you enough reasons to see why trusting us to photograph your family is the right thing to do?

So now that you are ready to book your session with us, let’s talk about what to expect. We call this your Portrait Experience. We look after you from the moment you first book with us all the way through to designing your custom order and delivery. The whole experience can take a minimum of 7 hours with each family and here’s what it entails:

Your Initial Phone Call and Booking

If this is the first time you are having professional photography done, we understand that you must have many questions. During this first call we are here to help guide you through the process and answer all your questions so that on the day of your photo session you are at ease and can enjoy the experience and have FUN knowing that everything has been covered.

Once you decide to book your session, we then start planning.

 

Your Discovery Call (before your session)

By this stage we know what type of photography you are after. Your Discovery call is structured so that we can find out a little bit more about you and your family.

The goal is to create a portrait session to match your personality, the dynamics of your family and the connection that you share with one another.

We also use this time to discuss what to bring and what to wear and to discover inspirational ideas for you to think about or incorporate into your photography session.

We can also use this opportunity to discuss your plans for your finished photographic pieces.

Think about where in your home your final wall art is going to hang and what style you would like to have. Your home decor and the colour choice of your clothes in the portraits will help define the style and location of the artwork.

Finally, we will send you out a questionnaire so that nothing is missed and that we are all on the same page striving for the best possible images.

Your Portrait Session

This is the fun part. Depending on the number of people a portrait session will take about 90 minutes. Make sure you bring any props that we have discussed and 2 or 3 changes of clothes so we can have a lot of variety.

Will Your Dog Be Visiting? If you are bringing a dog to be photographed with your family or for all dog portrait sessions please make sure that they have had a good brush beforehand and also that they have been exercised prior to arriving at the studio. This will save a lot of time especially if your dog is full of energy.

Your Design and Ordering Session

Approximately a week after your photography session you can come in to view your images. It is vitally important that all decision makers attend this session.

Now you can relax and view your amazing photographs on the big screen. Choose your favourites and then we will help you design beautiful pieces of wall art for your home.

Each image you select is fully retouched to your specifications and then sent off for production. Depending on what products you choose please allow up to 4 weeks before your portraits are hanging on your walls.

Payments are made on the day of your ordering session. We accept cash, electronic funds transfer or credit card. We can also offer you interest free payment plans (conditions apply).

Collect and Display Your Wall Art

When your art work is ready we will give you a call to come in and collect them. If it is hard for you to find time to come in with young kids or if you live a distance away we will organise delivery or Warren will hand deliver them to your door.

All of our products come with a guarantee for craftsmanship and product faults. Our fine art canvases come with a 75 year unconditional manufacturers replacement warranty for damage. Which includes accidental damage!

If needed, we provide instructions for installing your artwork.
